Conrad Anker, a world-renowned rock climber, mountaineer and author, wowed the large audience with stories of traversing some of the most challenging terrain on earth, including Mt. Everest. Mr. Anker is credited with finding the body of legendary British climber George Mallory on Everest, and a 2010 documentary called “The Wildest Dream.” Mallory disappeared in 1924 while on an expedition with his climbing partner Andrew Irvine, and Mr. Anker spotted his body in 1999. Mr Anker also said his climbing in Nepal inspired a love of the people there that led him to work with Dr. Geoff Tabin on the Himalayan Cataract Project.
